Milk tanker barrels, fleet retrofits and a 5 axle rear steer trailer developed with a specialist trailer builder. Since 1999 we’ve been the sole truck retrofit partner to a national milk collection fleet.
A milk tanker works every day of the season under a heavy, shifting load. Our barrels sit on a sub-frame we engineered with a flexible mounting system so they aren’t locked to one chassis. When a truck retires after 5-7 years, we refurbish the barrel and simply fit it to a new one.
Liquid transport barrels designed with FEA and mounted on our own sub-frame. We’re the exclusive barrel supplier to a nationwide dairy fleet.
Fleet retrofits
We have nearly 30 years experience in running an annual milk tanker retrofit & replacement programme.
R&D
We’ve designed and built a prototype 5-axle rear steer trailer for milk collection, developed in collaboration with TRT. It copes with a 25 metres turning circle and holds up to 21,000 litres.
Barrel refresh and transfer
A barrel can outlast several trucks. We refurbish it and move it onto a new cab and chassis.
Maintenance & repair
Servicing, repairs and replacement parts for barrels already on the road.
Why transport teams build with us
____
Safer to drive
Stability, handling and braking are designed in. For example, our 5 axle trailer’s lower centre of gravity helps it corner and brake.
____
Coded welding
ISO 3834 Part 2 certified, with SOPs and verified checklists at every stage of fabrication and assembly.
____
Long-term partner
Our dairy tanker work has run consistently for nearly 30 years.
____
Less downtime
Our sub-frame design makes barrel changeovers quick, so trucks spend less time in the workshop.

Yes, with FEA to check strength and weight. We developed the 5 axle trailer with a trailer-building partner, and in a fleet trial it covered more than 240,000 km.
Yes. It’s the core of our dairy fleet work, from one-off upgrades to full fleet programmes. On one programme, a new way of mounting the barrel cut annual retrofit costs by 63%.
