We completed an innovative construction project for a private dairy company near Pukekohe, showcasing our ability to reimagine traditional building approaches. This project involved creating a miniature powder dryer system using a modular construction method that dramatically reduced on-site construction time.
Instead of following conventional construction practices where a building is erected first and components installed afterward, our team reversed the process. We built the dryer components first, then constructed the building around them while they were positioned horizontally. The entire system was assembled in several large modular sections or “pods.”
Each pod was comprehensively fitted with stairs, floors, handrails, and pipework while still in the horizontal position at our workshop. Once completed, these fully-equipped sections were transported to site, stood upright, and bolted together to form the complete structure.
The benefits of this innovative approach were immediately apparent. What might have taken weeks or months using traditional construction methods was accomplished in days. The site went from a concrete pad to a functional multi-story building in approximately three days, with the facility nearly operational within a week of the components’ arrival.
This project exemplifies our expertise in innovative construction techniques, which we’ve also applied to smaller-scale builds, including complete process systems housed within shipping containers that can be transported and simply “plugged in” upon arrival.
By incorporating innovative thinking into our construction methodology, we delivered exceptional value and efficiency to our client while maintaining the highest standards of quality and functionality.
