Stainless Steel Fabrication

Food-grade hygienic stainless for dairy, food & beverage, water and wastewater infrastructure and more.

Stainless has been at the core of our work for over 30 years.

Longveld started out installing stainless steel in New Zealand dairy plants, and stainless is still the core of what we do — tanks and silos, vessels, hoppers, cyclones, process equipment, tanker barrels and the platforms that carry them.

We design, fabricate and install under one roof. One team carries one set of drawings from first sketch through to site, so there are fewer handovers, fewer surprises and a build that matches what was specified.

Welding quality is managed to AS/NZS ISO 3834-2, with qualified welding coordination, documented procedures and material traceability on every job. We work with engineering consultants, capital projects teams, procurement managers and asset owners in regulated environments.

What we build

Tanks and Silos

1M³ – 100M³

Storage and balance tanks, processing and mixing tanks, CIP and chemical handling, chilled water and product silos.

Process vessels and reactors

ACROSS ALL SECTORS

Filter vessels, MBBR reactors, lamella clarifiers and the internals that make them work.

Powder handling and hoppers

UP TO 100M² UNITS

Bulk powder hoppers, cyclones and separators for dryer plant.

Bespoke process equipment

DESIGNED FROM YOUR BRIEF

Purpose-built plant that isn’t on anyone’s catalogue — dryer and evaporator components, handling equipment, guarding and one-off machinery.

Access platforms and walkways

AS 1657

Catwalks, mezzanines, platforms, stairs and handrails  — including retrofits into plants that can’t come offline.

Tanker barrels and transport

26+ YEARS  |  FLEET SCALE

Milk tanker barrels, trailer components and vehicle fitouts, built and retrofitted at fleet scale.

Traceability & Quality Assurance

On food and water work, the weld you can’t see is the one that matters — and so is the steel underneath it. Material is traced from the mill certificate to the finished item, and every weld is tied to a qualified procedure and the welder who ran it.

Our material process

01

Order and contract review

Specification, grade and inspection requirements agreed in writing before anything is ordered.

02

Material receipt

Mill certificates checked against the order, heat numbers logged and identity marked.

03

Fabrication and welding

Welding to qualified procedures, weld map maintained, in-process checks against the ITP.

04

Inspection and handover

Final inspection, finish verification and the documentation pack issued with the work.
